For regular readers of this newsletter, this is a bit of a departure from my typical articles.
For those of you who I’ve not seen in a while, this news could be shocking … so please sit down. I wouldn’t want you to get hurt.
Many of you know that I married my best friend on May 25, 2008. And after a whirlwind tour of Italy, we settled in Amesbury. Since then Kristin has turned my house into our home.
Like most newlyweds it’s been a period of adjustment. New jobs, house projects, closets rearranged, furniture moved, holidays with the in-laws.
And now we are expecting a new adjustment.
Soon a stork is scheduled to arrive with a special delivery… very soon.
Sometime in September, we will officially be part of the “Sandwich Generation” caring for elder parents and juggling careers with the challenges of a newborn babe.
Some of you have expressed your best wishes. And we thank you. We’ve also heard and will try to heed the advice offered by others. We know that life as we know it will never be the same.
C’est la vie. Que Sera Sera.
Now, I want to thank my loyal readers with a special contest.
Believe it or not, we do not know our new arrival’s gender.
So please join our little contest to welcome our new arrival.
Send me an email at steve@questfsi.com with your guess for the date of birth, gender and weight.
The person who correctly guesses the date of birth will be rewarded with a $50 VISA gift card.
The person who is closest with the weight will be rewarded with a $25 VISA gift card.
And for the first five who correctly guess the gender, there are Dunkin Donuts gift cards.
For all who participate, I will send you a copy of the ebook Retire in a Weekend to help you stay on track.
While you’re at it, we’re still working on possible names. So all suggestions will also be appreciated as well.
The mom-to-be is doing well. The “daddy in training” has completed his classes. (We’ll see how much he remembers soon enough). The nest is set. Now it’s just a matter of time.
I hope to have an announcement of our arrival … and the correct predictions … by the time the next newsletter is sent out in September.
All the best.
